A day in the whelping BOX

These babies are getting louder and louder each day! They are grunting harder and squeeling shriller. Their tails have a little wag to them when they are nursing! It is so neat to watch them grow. We have 4 puppies that have hit the 1LBS. mark.YAY! I can't wait for their eyes and ears to open!

Today is a "NEW DAY"! Thank God! Kahlua is now interested in being a mommy! I guess she was under anesthesia for too long and it made her CrAzY!!!! So now things are good! We have all the puppies weighed and marked with color coded ribbons to make she each one is growing properly! He are some pictures of the individually! Did I mention WE ARE IN LOVE!!! Not just Branden and I BUT my whole extended family including GG~Muppy and GG~Gruppy(Memom&Ppop).

The First day!

The kids first time seeing them!
bottle feeding...

Well we got Kahlua and the 10 pack home! She is VERY groggy! She isn't a mother at all.. She is growling, snipping, and not interested AT ALL! She is letting them nurse but growls when they are in her face.

We have 10 total:

6 Chocolate males

1 Black male

3 Black females

Here are some pictures!

Kahlua was bred with a Standard size white poodle. He is beautiful! He is almost 2 yrs. old and weighs 50Lbs.

Kahlua is a chocolate lab. That weighs 85LBS. She is 5yrs. old. We think she is the beautiful too!! (of course)!

Here are pictures of her growing belly!

And then there were 10.....

Kahlua had a C-section due to an undeveloped (puppy figure). She was leaking a green fluid. I called the vet and they asked me to bring her immediately! So I rushed Kylie to school and then took Kahlua! The vet gave me 2 choices.... # 1 C-section and #2 antibiotics for her huge infection and let her go home and labor on her own and she and babies would be in jeopardy. Long story short I said C-secton.

We (Megan and I) had to go run errands for these puppies that might make it out alive or maybe not? So when we returned the front desk girls said we had puppies but not sure how many....ALOT though! Well finally the Vet got kahlua sewn up and gave us the total! 10 LIVING PUPPIES.....
